Give files meaningful names
Use a naming pattern you can recognise, such as the person’s first name, report type and purchase month. Avoid putting unnecessary sensitive details in filenames, especially in shared folders. Keep an original copy alongside any personal notes, so you can distinguish the provider’s text from your later interpretation.
Separate access from ownership
A report saved on one device may not automatically appear on another. Check whether the product is stored in an account library or only in local browser storage. If a family shares a device, sign out of personal accounts when appropriate. Do not assume that hiding a file from the home screen makes it private.
Share the minimum useful portion
When asking a question, you may be able to share a section rather than the entire document. Remove unrelated personal details where possible. Keep order references available for support, but use the site’s official contact route. Periodically remove duplicates you no longer need and check that your remaining copies can still be opened.
